An asset is any marketing collateral that you develop. Blog posts, Infographics, Whitepapers, Case Studies, Landing pages etc. are all examples of assets that you create to support your Content Marketing Campaigns.
In the Syptus environment an asset consists of two parts
The asset definition-This is all the metadata about the asset (e.g. campaign, format, theme, focus keyword etc.). When you create an asset, you are actually only creating the definition. You add actual content later. This content could be HTML content (e.g. a Blog post) or simply files (e.g. when creating a PowerPoint or PDF document)
The asset content-This is the actual content of an asset. An asset can have multiple versions but they will all have the same metadata definitions. You can add actual content to an asset from within the asset planner tool.
